Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That this 67th General Convention of the Episcopal Church authorizes and requests the Presiding Bishop, aided by representative lay and clergy aides of his choice, to call for and seek out a Joint Action Conference with Protestant, Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Jewish, and other religious leaders, together with groups of scientists, physicians, labor leaders, educators, and other like-concerned groups, in order that from such a Conference may come more cooperative and effective action towards changing nuclear and other arms policies, both here and abroad.
