Final Text:

Resolved, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church encourage the governments of Vietnam and the United States to continue in their dialogue, perhaps toward the end of restoring full diplomatic relations; and be it further

Resolved, That the General Convention encourage the government of Vietnam to continue showing its good will by releasing all prisoners of conscience, particularly Father Dominic Tran Dinh Thu and Tran Xuan Tu; and be it further

Resolved, That the Convention encourage the government of Vietnam to permit all people to work more closely with co-religionists from other countries; and be it further

Resolved, That the Convention encourage all members of the Episcopal Church to support Vietnamese Christians by writing letters of support and appeals for the release of Christians imprisoned for the practice of their faith, to the Ambassador of Vietnam to the United Nations, 20 Waterside Plaza, New York, New York 10010; and be it further

Resolved, That copies of this resolution be delivered to the Ambassador of Vietnam to the United Nations.
