Resolved, That the 72nd General Convention send its love, greetings, assurances of prayers and concern for the Diocese of Okinawa, Nippon Sei Ko Kai (NSKK); and be it further

Resolved, That the Convention assure the people of the Diocese of Okinawa that the Episcopal Church hears their concern over the impact of US military bases on their daily life and, in response to a resolution of NSKK, pledges to work jointly with NSKK towards concrete actions to address this concern, including advocating this concern to the US government; and be it further

Resolved, That this Convention ask the US government to develop socially responsible criteria that address the concerns of local residents wherever the US has military operations, recognizing that such presence must be balanced against the impact on the dignity of human beings and the environment.
