Resolved, That the 73rd General Convention commend the government of the Republic of South Africa for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The commission and its chair, the Most Rev. Desmond Tutu, have set a splendid example of Christian principle in forgoing revenge and forgiving those perpetrators of apartheid injustices who have been willing to confess their deeds.
