Resolves of the Executive Council

Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church in its concern for the critical status of children in our nation, calls on the Congress of the United States to pass legislation this year which provides expanded services, funding and financial accountability for:

1. Women, Infants and Children program (WIC), Head Start and Job Corps,
2. Family preservation such as the Family and Medical Leave Act already enacted,
3. Prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect,
4. Childhood immunizations,
5. Child support assurance; and be it further

Resolved, That copies of this resolution be sent to the President and Congressional leadership.
