Resolved, That Executive Council, meeting in Parsippany, New Jersey, February 5-9, 2001, hereby commends the Presiding Bishop for sending a delegation of Episcopalians as part of an ecumenical delegation to the Holy Land during a time of severe violence and stress in the area; and be it further

Resolved, That the Council thanks the Episcopal members of the delegation, Edmond and Patti Browning, Vincent and Janice Warner, and staff members Brian Grieves and James Solheim, for their participation in and contributions to the visitation, as well as to the Right Reverend Riah Abu El Assal and the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem for their hospitality and assistance in local arrangements; and be it further

Resolved, That the Council adopt the statement of the ecumenical delegation as expressing the mind of this Church consistent with numerous General Convention and Council resolutions these past 10 years; and be it further

Resolved, That the Council commit programmatic resources, financial and otherwise as needed and as available, in continuing to advocate for a just peace for both Israelis and Palestinians and charges the International Concerns committee with oversight of such further initiatives during this triennium.
