"A Celebration of Our Common Life," a joint service of the Diocese of Missouri and the Missouri Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, was held Feb. 4 at Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis. The service commemorated Absolom Jones, first African American to be ordained in the Episcopal Church, and Richard Allen, founder of the AME. The Rt. Rev. Hays Rockwell, Bishop of Missouri, presided at the service.
