The Acts of Convention is an archive of resolutions of the General Convention of the Episcopal Church. The General Convention is the chief policy making body of the Episcopal Church in the United States.
The Resolves of Council, 1976-2007
This archive is an authentic record of all Executive Council resolutions for the period of January 1976 through March of 2007. The Executive Council is the corporate body or board of directors that implements the policies of the General Convention and with the Presiding Bishop oversees generally the work of the Episcopal Church's domestic and foreign mission.

This paper was first issued in 1994 under the authority of the Standing Commission on Constitution and Canons and the Council for the Development of Ministry. This 2007 revised version is distributed with the approval of The Episcopal Church's Standing Commission on Constitution and Canons.

This historical analysis by Robert C. Royce, Esq. was originally created in May 2008 as a discussion document for the Presiding Bishop, the President of the House of Deputies, and the Executive Council. After their initial review and deliberation, its contents were released and the author deposited a copy with the Church Archives to be made available for the Church's further consideration. It was incorporated as a Digital Archives document on June 18, 2009.
