Diane Pollard has attended 13 General Conventions as a lay deputy from the Diocese of New York, the most recent being the 2015 General Convention in Salt Lake City, UT. Ms. Pollard has been on a leading voice for the rights of women and minorities in her many positions in The Episcopal Church. She has served on the board of the Episcopal Urban Caucus and was elected by General Convention to the board of the Church Pension Fund. She chaired the powerful Program, Budget and Finance Committee in 2012 and the Committee on Social Justice and United States Policy in 2015. She co-chaired the Standing Committee for the Nomination of a Presiding Bishop, which led to the election of Katharine Jefferts Schori in 2006. Ms. Pollard is a vestry member of Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City. She was recently honored for her decades of leadership by the Union of Black Episcopalians.
