Resolved, That in gratitude for its witness to the 1982 General Convention mandate for a “ministry of joint discipleship in Christ with poor and oppressed people, wherever they are found, to meet basic human needs and to build a just society,” the 77th General Convention celebrates 30 years of Jubilee Ministry and the ministries of its 652 Jubilee Centers and 72 Diocesan Jubilee Officers currently recognized by the Executive council and Diocesan Bishops; and be it further

Resolved, That the Marks of Mission calling for the Church to “respond to human need by loving service” and “to seek to transform unjust structures of society” are being faithfully served be these ministries as they fulfill the mandate of Jubilee Ministry; and be it further

Resolved, That Jubilee Ministry be affirmed as a vital expression of the type of relational ministry that is being called forth from local congregations of the Church today as they seek to reconcile all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.
