Resolves of the Executive Council

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its gratitude to the Most Rev. Edmond L. Browning for his steady and faithful witness during the turbulent events of recent months.

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its heartfelt thanks and appreciation for his leadership, friendship and devotion.

Resolved, That the Executive Council, meeting in the Diocese of Maine, April 21-26, 1991, express thanks to the Rt. Rev. Edward Chalfant their Bishop and the diocesan staff for the warm welcome and effective assistance extended to the Council during the entire meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its appreciation to Dean Foote and Canon Hancock for the fellowship and hospitality provided in the program, reception, Evensong and dinner; with special thanks to Norman Wagner and his culinary team, at the Cathedral of St. Luke; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council commend with gratitude the diocesan ministries presented on Wednesday evening, April 24 and thank the Rev. William Baxter, the Rev. Deacon Hildreth Hampshire, Dick Loomer, the Rev. Peggy Day and the Rev. Holly Eden; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its gratitude to the Rt. Rev. Sir Paul Reeves for honoring us with his presence and eloquent presentation of our global opportunities and responsibilities; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council thank our Canadian partners, Michael Ingham and Duncan Wallace, for their delightful and invaluable participation in our life during the past triennium; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council commend and thank our representatives at the Canberra Assembly of the World Council of Churches for their service in a momentous occasion and look forward to continued learning and guidance from their experience; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer thanksgiving for those Council members completing their terms, trusting they'll never forget last night's send-off; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its gratitude to Br. Richard Biernacki for his competence and grace in assuming responsibility as Assistant Secretary for this meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to Lori Arnold and Carolyn Zimei for their continued dedication and professionalism in the planning and execution of the meetings of the Executive Council; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to Yvonne McBean and Alfreda Barrow for their management and work in the Secretariat on site; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council pledge its continued prayers for healing for Ralph Spence, Cheryl Dawkins, Gregory Harris and Deirdre L. Wilson; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its appreciation to the management and staff of the Ramada Inn and Conference Center for their assistance in providing for our needs; and be it further

Resolved, That the members of the Executive Council pledge our constant prayers and unstinting support for the work of the General Convention and in particular for the leadership of Edmond Browning and David Collins in our midst, trusting that God's grace and power can renew our common life in Christ for the mission and ministry entrusted to this Church.
