Resolves of the Executive Council

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks and gratitude to the management and staff of the Radisson Plaza Hotel Minneapolis for the care and cooperation extended to the Executive Council, Church Center Staff and guests during the meeting, June 14-17, 1993; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council thank individually the following members of the staff of the Radisson Plaza Hotel Minneapolis for their cooperation and work during the June 1993 meeting: Kim Nevins, Sales Manager; Nancy Buboltz, Director of Catering; Annette Benidt, Catering Manager; Doug Anderson, Banquet Manager; and Dan Kusnierek, Assistant Banquet Manager; and as a group, all the hotel staff who have made our stay enjoyable, especially the Rev. Whit Stodghill; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its heartfelt thanks to the Diocese of Minnesota, Bishops Anderson and Hampton and their spouses, for the welcome and good will during this visit of the Executive Council; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its thanks to the members of the Church Center Staff for their cheerful and willing manner in carrying out the various segments of preparation for the June 1993 meeting, both before and during the meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its prayers and good wishes to the Diocese of Vermont on the election of the Rev. Mary Adelia McLeod as Diocesan Bishop; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its congratulations and best wishes to the Rev. Richard S.O. Chang and the Rev. Pat Mauney upon their canonizations in recent months; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its congratulations to the Rev. Benjamin F. Chavis, on his recent election as Executive Director of the NAACP; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council transmit, by way of this resolution, its prayers, support and congratulations to the Rt. Rev. Jean Zache Duracin, consecrated Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Haiti on June 2, 1993; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council assure the people of Haiti and their Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Luc A. Garnier, of their continuing prayers and support during this time of extreme domestic difficulties; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its congratulations to the Rev. Dr. Ashton Brooks upon the occasion of being awarded the degree of Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) from Church Divinity School of the Pacific; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council welcome Ms. Angela Cappiello on the occasion of her first Executive Council meeting as Assistant Meetings Manager at the Episcopal Church Center; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its concern and support for the Presiding Bishop during these difficult and emotional times for the Church, pledging its continued prayers and support; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the storytellers on the buses; to the Staff of the Cathedral at Faribault for their time spent with the Council; and to all those who participated in presentations at Prairie Island; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer special thanks to the members of Messiah Church, Prairie Island, for offering the Council the honor of being present and sharing in the dedication ceremonies and wonderful dinner; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer thanks for the thirty-ninth anniversary of the marriage, this Saturday, of Earl and Nancy Cavanaugh, and extend to them our best wishes for the future.
