Lambeth XI. The Rt. Rev. John S. Spong, Bishop Coadjutor of the
Episcopal Diocese of Newark, is one of several bishops attending the Lambeth Confer-
ence who do their early morning jogging on the grounds of the University of Kent where
the conference is taking place. More than 100 of the 400 bishops of the Anglican
Communion in attendance at the conference -- held every 10 years -- are from the
Episcopal Church in the U. S.
