Work on shelters for some of the 100, 000 persons displaced in the Middle East: War has begun in the Deras area of Syria, supported through a special appeal for $200,000 by the World Council of Churches. The project will provide housing for 2,000 families. Foundations are shown being excavated in preparation for construction. The Rt. Rev. George Appleton, Archbishop in Jerusalem, has issued an appeal for world-wide support of Anglicans for the project.
