In a view from the roof of the Marriott Hotel can be seen the buildings
that will be the sites of the triennial sessions of the General Convention of the
Episcopal Church in New Orleans, Sept. 5-15. The low building in the center is the
Rivergate convention center where the House of Deputies will meet. The tall building
just to the left of center at the top is the Hilton Hotel, where the House of Bishops
will meet. The International Trade Mart Tower is at the upper left. The Interna-
tional Hotel is in the right central section of the picture. The official hotels
for housing the bishops, deputies, and other persons connected with the Convention
are the Hilton, the Marriott, and the International. The Mississippi River is
at the top of the picture and famous Canal Street can be seen in the lower part
of the scene.
