in the Great Choir of the Washington Cathedral. He was escorted to the
stall reserved for the Presiding Bishop by the Rt. Rev. John T. Walker,
bishop of Washington, and the Rev. Provost Charles A. Perry as part of
Browning's installation service. Browning is holding the Primatial
Cross, symbol of the office of Presiding Bishop, which he had just re-
ceived from his predecessor, retired Presiding Bishop John M. Allin.
