This year TES will be celebrated in congregations on February 6 and is a time for recognizing and celebrating those places where life-changing Christian learning is experienced and valued. Further information about TES can be found online at: http://www.teforall.org/tes.html.

Also honoring a commitment made by General Convention in 1997 to augment the church's awareness of and participation in world mission, World Mission Sunday will be observed throughout the Episcopal Church on February 6 under the theme "Treasuring the Communion." NEW YORK - The Rev. Canon Anne Mallonee will be officially installed as vicar of Trinity Church-St. Paul's Chapel on Sunday, Feb. 6, at the 11:15 a.m. service at Trinity Church, Wall Street. The Rev. Dr. Margaret McCray, a Presbyterian minister from Minneapolis, will be guest preacher at the installation service, which will be webcast live on the parish's website [www.trinitywallstreet.org ].

As vicar, Mallonee oversees the worship, ministry, and Christian witness of the parish in lower Manhattan. She is the first woman to be named vicar in the history of the 307-year-old Episcopal parish, having been officially appointed by the vestry of Trinity Parish last October 6. Before coming to Trinity-St. Paul's, she served as associate rector of Christ Church in Overland Park, Kansas; as canon pastor and interim dean of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and most recently as interim dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Hartford, Connecticut.

Mallonee grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and received her B.A. degree from the University of Kansas. Upon graduating from Berkley Divinity School at Yale University in 1986, she served as communications officer for the Diocese of Kansas, and as chaplain to Canterbury House, the Episcopal ministry at the University of Kansas.

"The search committee, the vestry, and the congregational council moved the search process for vicar in a way that allowed us to be blessed by God in Anne's accepting the position," said the rector, the Rev. Dr. James H. Cooper. "I think she is spectacular. In our conversations with Anne we could ascertain that her accomplishments lay in visible, discernible ministry. This parish is blessed to have her."
