Prayers requested for Lifting Women's Voices: Ending Poverty through Prayer and Action

Episcopal News Service. July 7, 2008 [070708-02]

Morehouse Publishing, an imprint of Church Publishing Incorporated, has launched a campaign urging women to "say a prayer, change the world" by submitting prayers for possible inclusion in the upcoming publication, Lifting Women's Voices: Ending Poverty through Prayer and Action.

According to Morehouse, the book "will reveal how Anglican women worldwide are deeply connected by global issues, even across cultural and economic divides -- and affirm that nurturing our inner lives of prayer offers us the courage to care and advocate not just for ourselves, but for our sisters throughout the Anglican Communion."

Submissions are due September 15, and prayers should be emailed to prayers@cpg.org.

Requests for electronic files that can be used as posters, flyers and postcards to promote the project should also be sent to prayers@cpg.org.

Royalties from the sales of Lifting Women's Voices will benefit the International Anglican Women's Network and Episcopal Relief and Development.

Publication is slated for May, 2009.
