Brotherhood of Saint Gregory Discusses Pastoral Care

(ENS) The Brotherhood of Saint Gregory, a religious community for men in the Episcopal Church, held its Annual Convocation in Garrison, New York, August 14-20.

Brother Richard John Lorino of the Diocese of New York led the 40 participants through a program on the intricacies of pastoral care called "The Pastoral Brother."

Bishop Suffragan Rodney R. Michel of the Diocese of Long Island met with individual friars and also led a panel discussion on this summer's General Convention in Denver, Colorado. In addition, four Gregorian brothers were present at the Denver convention and related perspectives on the gathering from a variety of viewpoints, including that of the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music, and the presence of the Anglican Communion.
