The VI Synod of the Ninth Province of the Episcopal Church has been postponed to November 18-21, 1975, in order that bishops and deputies can study the diocesan plans for autonomy, self-support and mission. The synod will be held in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. The Ninth Province is composed of 13 dioceses in the Northern part of Latin America and the Caribbean. (RAPIDAS)

A new bishop for Venezuela will be chosen by the House of Bishops of the Church in the Province of the West Indies (CPWI) when it meets in June. The see of Venezuela has been vacant since last April. This decision was made by the Provincial Synod of the CPWI at its last meeting at the beginning of February in Nassau, Bahamas. (RAPIDAS)

The Rev. Onell A. Soto, Executive Secretary of the Ninth Province, has presented to the Rt. Rev. John M. Allin, Presiding Bishop, two copies of the Trial Use Services in Spanish. La Santa Eucaristia and the Libro de Oficios were given to Bishop Allin during a meeting of the Joint Commission on World Mission and the Overseas Bishops held at Seabury House, Greenwich, Conn., in the middle of February. Fr. Soto explained that the books are not literal translations but adaptations to the customs and culture of Latin America. (RAPIDAS)

The Anglican Bishop of Argentina, the Rt. Rev. Cyril Tucker, has resigned his see after 10 years as diocesan bishop. A Special Convention will assemble May 31 to elect a successor to Dr. Tucker who will retire to his native England. (RAPIDAS)

The Diocese of Colombia decided in its last Diocesan Convention to join CASA (Anglican Council of South America) as part of a regional group with Ecuador and Venezuela. A similar motion failed to pass last year. (RAPIDAS)

The Ninth Province: Realities and Projections is a new booklet that is being published by the Provincial Office taking into account the extensive research done by a Task Force of the Joint Commission on World Mission. The booklet will be in Spanish and will be available from the Rev. Onell A. Soto, Apartado (01) 142, San Salvador, El Salvador, C.A. (RAPIDAS)

The Diocese of Western Mexico has elected four women as the lay deputation to the 1976 General Convention of the Episcopal Church in Minnesota. The Diocesan Convention met in Guadalajara. This is the first time any diocese of the Episcopal Church has elected an all-women lay deputation to Convention. (RAPIDAS)

The Diocese of Costa Rica has requested that the Ninth Province become an independent church within the Anglican Communion with a conciliar form of government. The Costa Rican deputation to the Synod in November is instructed to present a motion to that effect. (RAPIDAS)
