ACC Mission Officer Appointed

London -- The Rev. George Braund is to be the new Associate Secretary for Mission for the Anglican Consultative Council, the world body of the Anglican Communion.
He succeeds the Rev. David Chaplin, who has become Secretary to Partnership For World Mission, a joint venture between a number of Anglican mission agencies.
Fr. Braund will be concerned with the development of mission and with ecumenical relations within the Anglican Communion. He will take up his new duties in the early part of 1980.
A member of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd -- he was its Superior from 1969-75 -- Fr. Braund has spent the last eleven years on the staff of the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel. From 1968-72 he was the Society's Travelling Missioner, and from 1972-79 its Overseas Secretary.
