Cincinnati -- Indian ministries and the Anglican Communion are the diverse subjects of two Forward Movement publications which will be available in May.

The first, Within the Circle (60 pp., $. 95) is by Patricia Duncombe and is subtitled, "Christian Ministry and the American Indian." Written from the perspective of years lived on a reservation, the book offers hope of re-opening a long-moribund dialogue between religions.

In his introduction to the book, Steve Charleston, staff officer for Native American ministries at the Episcopal Church Center, notes: "This book could not have appeared at a more critical time. The increase in tension between white and Indian cultures, and the resulting renewal in interest in cross-cultural ministry among Christian churches, places Mrs. Duncombe's work on the top of the list for priority consideration. As concerned persons on both sides reach out to strengthen religious understanding, her book helps to equip them for that encounter. In simple language, it gives white Christians something to go on, a place to begin in trying to act as partners in ministry with their Indian counterparts. It gives the non-Indian a better chance at getting off on the right foot; it counteracts the impulse toward paternalism that has often soured relations between the cultures in the past. "

The second offering, Our Anglican Family (set, $4.00) was prepared by the Anglican Consultative Council, particularly for the U. S. visit for the Archbishop of Canterbury in April and May. It contains 12 sheets on the various provinces of the Anglican Communion (with photos and maps, suitable for mounting), a special cassette message from the Archbishop, and a copy of Partners in Prayer, the annual calendar of prayer for the Anglican Communion.

Both publications may be ordered from Forward Movement Publications, 412 Sycamore Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
