U.S., Canadian Communicators to Meet Jointly in 1983

TORONTO (DPS, May 13) -- The diocesan editors of the Anglican Church of Canada have accepted the invitation of the U.S. Episcopal Communicators to meet jointly in Vancouver, B.C., in July 1983 prior to the opening of the World Council of Churches Assembly.

The meeting will include workshops, separate business meetings and an opportunity to meet with church editors and communicators from other parts of the Anglican Communion.

The Rev. Ben Ragg of Duncan, B.C., is chairing the group for local arrangements. The planning committee to develop the program for the conference includes Canon Gordon Hendra, editor of Ontario Churchman; Janette Pierce, convenor of the Episcopal Communicators; the Rev. Richard J. Anderson, executive for communication at the Episcopal Church Center in New York; the Rev. Richard Berryman, media officer for the Anglican Church of Canada, and Canadian Churchman editor Jerry flames.
