New Introductory Booklet on Anglican Communion

Episcopal News Service. [91236L]

A 40-page, illustrated guide to the worldwide Anglican Communion will soon be available from the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC) in London. The Anglican Communion: A Guide presents a brief description of each of the 29 autonomous churches comprising the 70-million-member communion, and includes a map of the Anglican Communion. While offering answers to the questions of what Anglicanism is and what Anglicans believe, the guide also outlines the role of the archbishop of Canterbury and the work of the Primates Meeting, the ACC, and the Lambeth Conference. The booklet's introduction is written by Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey. The guide was produced by the communications office of the ACC and will be published in January 1992 by Church House Publishing. It sells for $5.40, and is available from Robert Byers/James Rosenthal, Anglican Consultative Council, 157 Waterloo Road, London, England SE1 8UT; telephone 011-44-71-620-1110 or FAX 011-44-71-620-1070.
