Episcopal News Service. January 15, 1993 [93013E]

The dean and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral and the Duke University Divinity School have announced the Canterbury Cathedral Course, an international summer graduate course in Anglican identity and its ecumenical promise. The course, to be held at Canterbury Cathedral, will consist of annual three-week study seminars on foundational theological issues in Anglicanism. The course is intended as a resource for the Anglican Communion and the wider Christian church as both face the challenges of the 21st century. The life, history and personalities of Canterbury and the iconography of the cathedral will be used as a lens through which Anglicanism can be viewed. The first session of the Canterbury Cathedral Course is scheduled for July 10-31, 1993. Applications for the first session should be submitted by May 15. Participants will be housed within the cathedral precincts. The fee for the three-week course, which includes tuition, room and all meals, is $2,100. A limited amount of scholarship assistance will be available.
