BISHOP PAGE RESIGNS

Presiding Bishop Lichtenberger has announced that he has accepted the resignation of the Rt. Rev. Herman R. Page, Bishop of Northern Michigan. The resignation will become effective May 3, 1964, his 72nd birthday.

Bishop Page succeeded his father as Bishop of Northern Michigan in 1942. Prior to his election, he had served as vicar of St. Paul's Church in Dayton, Ohio, and was chairman of the Department of Christian Education in Southern Ohio.

930 REGISTER FOR ANGLICAN CONGRESS

Registration for the forthcoming Anglican Congress had reached a total of 930 delegates by the end of May. Out of 334 dioceses, delegates have registered from 306.

The Episcopal Church delegation includes 121 bishops, 102 priests, 92 laymen and six youths from the 104 dioceses and missionary districts. Each province is eligible to have two youth delegates.

The five African Provinces, four of which are the youngest churches in the whole Communion, have 28 bishops registered, 34 priests, 26 laymen and 10 youths. There are 46 dioceses there.
