DEANS TO MEET IN COVENTRY

More than 50 deans of American Cathedrals, along with several of their counterparts from Commonwealth countries, were to explore how the church of today can prepare for tomorrow at a Dean's Conference to be held at Coventry Cathedral April 20 - 27.

Among the speakers at this meeting are the Rev. Simon Phipps on the industrial society ahead; Canon J. W. Poole on liturgical perspectives; the Very Rev. Francis B. Sayre, Jr., Dean of Washington Cathedral on theology and science in a cybernetic age; and Canon S. Verney on future sociological patterns and their demands on the church.

Special events include the dedication of John Kennedy House, the new Cathedral Youth Hostel.

The preacher at the last noon-time service will be the Rev. W. Lea, rector of Christ Church, Winnetka, ill. and former dean of St. John's Cathedral, Denver, Colo.

ST. AUGUSTINE'S SUMMER COURSES SET

St. Augustine's College, Canterbury, the central college of the Anglican Communion, has announced the program of its international summer courses.

The first session, to be held from July 5 - 17, will explore fundamental theology and will include on the staff the Rev. W.Norman Pittenger of the General Theological Seminary.

The second session (July 19 - 31) will consider the healing ministry. On the staff will be the Rev. Armen J. Jorjorian, chaplain of St. Luke's Hospital, Houston, Tex. and the Rev. Ernest E. Bruder, director of Protestant Chaplain Activities, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Washington, D. C.

Christian sociology today will be the theme of the third session, Aug. 2 - 7.

These courses are designed primarily for clergy and presuppose a background in theology. Others suitably qualified will be admitted, however, as accommodations permit.
