TRICK OR TREAT FOR UNICEF

On Halloween more than 3 million American children will TRICK or TREAT not for themselves, but for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund.

This effort to help the world's children began in 1950 when a few church school classes donated their Halloween treats to UNICEF. The program has now grown to the point where it supplies the Fund with more than $2, 000, 000 annually.

Because of large purchases, and donated supplies, the nickels and dimes collected can buy a great deal. One nickle can supply 25 children with a glass of milk, or a vitamin pill; or it can protect five children from tuberculosis.

1965 has been designated as International Cooperation Year, and the efforts of the U.S. Committee for UNICEF on "All Hallows Eve" are certainly one way of demonstrating such cooperation.

DUN TO ST. AUGUSTINE'S

The Rt. Rev. Angus Dun, retired Bishop of Washington, will serve as Visiting Fellow in residence at St. Augustine's College, Canterbury, for two terms, from October through March. He will give a lecture course in Christian doctrine and a seminar on the ecumenical movement and on Christian worship.

St. Augustine's is the central college of the Anglican Communion and is located within the close, or grounds, of Canterbury Cathedral. The 30 or 40 students enrolled there at one time are of varied national and educational background, since the purpose of the college is "to draw together in fellowship of study and common life, priests from many parts of the world.
