Resolved, That the 67th General Convention calls upon the Congress of the United States once again to enact the Equal Rights Amendment and submit it to the legislatures of the several states for ratification; and be it further

Resolved, That the 67th General Convention calls upon all Church members to urge the members of their state legislatures to ratify this amendment as quickly as possible.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 67th General Convention calls upon the Congress of the United States once again to enact an Equal Rights Amendment and submit it to the legislatures of the several states for ratification, and be it further

Resolved, That the 67th General Convention calls upon all Church members to urge the members of their state legislatures to ratify this amendment as quickly as possible.

The Committee moved adoption of Resolution B-34A (Equal Rights Amendment).

Seconded by the Bishop of Olympia.

On the ninth day, the Chairman of the Committee on Social and Urban Affairs presented Report #11 and recommended that the House concur with Message #99 of the House of Bishops on Resolution B-34A (Equal Rights Amendment).

Deputy Burroughs of Springfield moved an amendment.

Proposed Amendment:

Deleting "the" in line 2 and insert "an."
