Resolved, That this 69th General Convention call for AIDS education programs in every congregation by the end of 1989; request that models of AIDS education programs be made available by the National Episcopal AIDS Coalition in conjunction with the National Church staff; and request that such models promote abstinence or monogamy as well as candid and complete instruction regarding disease prevention measures, such as use of condoms in sexual intercourse and ending sharing of contaminated needles by intravenous drug users.
