Resolved, That this 69th General Convention of the Episcopal Church declare its belief that non-violent refusal to participate in or prepare for war is a faithful response of a member of this Church and that a decision to participate in or prepare for war should be made only after careful and prayerful consideration; and be it further

Resolved, That a person making such a conscientious decision either not to participate or to participate have the respect, the support and the ministry of the Church.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That this 69th General Convention of the Episcopal Church declare its belief that non-violent refusal to participate in or prepare for war is the normative response of a member of this Church and a decision to support or participate in war should be made only after careful and prayerful consideration.
