Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That this 69th General Convention commend President Reagan for his persistent efforts to negotiate and foster peace with the Soviet Union and especially commend him for his recent endeavors at the summit meeting with their leadership and the negotiated reduction of nuclear armaments and installations.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

Amend the Resolution to read as follows:

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That this 69th General Convention commends President Reagan and General Secretary Gorbachev of the Soviet Union for their efforts to negotiate and foster peace between the Soviet Union and the United States and especially commends them for their recent negotiated reduction of nuclear armaments and installations.
