Resolved, That the 70th General Convention support in principle the convening of an international and cross-cultural Anglican conference in order to initiate an ongoing discussion on the theology of Christian mission; and be it further

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on World Mission be requested to:

  1. Consult with the Council of Seminary Deans and the Seminary Consultation on Mission, and with the Council for Global Mission regarding such a conference;
  2. Seek funding with the consent of Executive Council from sources outside the budget of the Episcopal Church to support such a conference;
  3. Place the proposal for such a conference before the Anglican Consultative Council for its counsel and coordination; and
  4. Report to the 71st General Convention on the implementation of this resolution.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 70th General Convention support in principle the convening of an international and cross-cultural Anglican conference in order to initiate an ongoing discussion on the theology of Christian mission; and be it further

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on World Mission be requested to:
