Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 70th General Convention declares that the practice of racism is sin and is plainly contrary to the norms of Holy Scripture, and violates the express words of the Baptismal Covenant; and be it further

Resolved, That the 70th General Convention calls upon all baptized members of the Church to work to remove racism from the life of the Nation, for we can make no peace with oppression.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That it is expected that all Members of the Clergy of this Church, having subscribed to the Declaration required by Article VIII of the Constitution, shall be under obligation to abstain from racism.
