Resolved, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church recognize and affirm the importance of young adults, those aged 18-35, in the life and ministry of the Episcopal Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the Education for Mission and Ministry Unit of the Church Center Staff be encouraged in its continuing work with young adult ministry; and be it further

Resolved, That this Convention call upon all dioceses and their congregations to continue the development of ministries with young adults, and to cooperate with the Church Center Staff in its research of existing efforts; and be it further

Resolved, That the Church Center Staff through the Executive Council report its findings and make specific recommendations for action to the next General Convention.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church recognize and affirm the importance of young adults in the life and ministry of the Episcopal Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the appropriate standing commission be directed to form a task force to study the unique issues and problems associated with young adults and young adult ministry in every area of the Church's life; and be it further

Resolved, That this Convention call upon all dioceses and their congregations to continue the development of ministries with young adults, and to cooperate with the aforementioned task force in its research of already existing practices, and to report their growth in said development to the next General Convention through said task force; and be it further

Resolved, That the aforementioned task force report its findings and make specific recommendations for action to the next General Convention.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

In the first Resolved, following "adults" insert: ", those aged 18-35,".

Delete the second Resolved and replace it with:

Resolved, That the Education for Mission and Ministry Unit of the Church Center Staff be encouraged in its continuing work with young adult ministry; and be it further.

In the third Resolved, delete "aforementioned task force" and replace it with "Church Center Staff."

In the third Resolved, following "research of," delete the remainder of the sentence and replace it with "existing efforts; and be it further."

In the fourth Resolved, following "That," delete "the aforementioned task force report" and replace it with "the Church Center Staff through the Executive Council report."
