Resolved, That the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society of the Episcopal Church continue to encourage and support the growing collaboration among the four Anglican jurisdictions within Continental Europe; and be it further

Resolved, That the Convocation of American Churches in Europe (hereinafter "the Convocation") continue with ecumenical sensitivity and consultation to nurture the emerging indigenous congregations and ministries and other newly forming Church communities in Europe; and be it further

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on World Mission be charged with supporting the Convocation in its wide-ranging mission which has developed in this Decade of Evangelism; and be it further

Resolved, That new funding in the amount of $60,000 for the 1998-2000 triennium be approved from General Funds for use by the Convocation in developing those new ministries and communities.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society of the Episcopal Church continue to encourage and support the growing collaboration among the four Anglican jurisdictions within Continental Europe; and be it further

Resolved, That the Convocation of American Churches in Europe (hereinafter 'the Convocation') continue with ecumenical sensitivity and consultation to nurture the emerging indigenous congregations and ministries and other newly forming church communities in Europe; and be it further

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on World Mission be charged with supporting the Convocation in its wide-ranging mission which has developed in this Decade of Evangelism; and be it further

Resolved, That new funding in the amount of $90,000 for the 1998-2000 Triennium be approved from General Funds for use by the Convocation in developing those new ministries and communities.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

In the final Resolved clause, delete "$90,000" and add "$60,000".

Abstract:   The 72nd General Convention encourages the Convocation of American Churches in Europe to continue its collaboration with Anglican partners and its encouragement of indigenous ministries on the continent, and charges the Commission on World Mission to strengthen that mission.
