Resolved, That the 77th General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations to initiate dialog between The Episcopal Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as “the LDS” and “the Mormon Church”) for the interreligious purposes of friendship, good will, [and] mutual understanding.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 77th General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations to initiate dialog between The Episcopal Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as “the LDS” and “the Mormon Church”) for the interreligious purposes of friendship, good will, mutual understanding, and the possibilities of partnering for mission and ministry throughout the world.
The Bishop of Utah moved an amendment.
