ResolvedThat the Secretary of the General Convention send warm greetings to the Moderator of the Church of South India (CSI), an Anglican communion partner United Church, and all CSI congregations within the geographical bounds of The Episcopal Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the 79th General Convention welcome with affection and seek fellowship with congregations of the Church of South India within the geographical bounds of The Episcopal Church; and be it further

Resolved, That all Dioceses, Parishes, and other Episcopal communities be encouraged to seek fellowship with CSI communities within their geographical area of ministry.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 79th General Convention welcome with affection and seek fellowship with the congregations of the Church of South India in the United States, an Anglican Communion partner United Church establishing congregations in the United States to serve immigrants and their families from the states of South India; and be it further

Resolved, That the Secretary of the General Convention send this greeting to the Moderator of the Church of South India and all CSI congregations in the United States.

The Rt. Rev. Prince Singh, Bishop of Rochester moved to amend the resolution.

Insert a Second resolve clause as follows.

Resolved, That the 79th General Convention communicate to the moderators and bishops of the Church of South India (CSI) and other united churches that are constituent members of the Anglican Communion, and invite them to adhere to the stewardship of eclesial jurisdictions by not creating parallel jurisdictions in the Episcopal Church.
