Resolved, That this 68th General Convention of the Episcopal Church condemn the genocidal six year war conducted by the Soviet Union and its client Afghan regime against the people of Afghanistan; and be it further
Resolved, That this Convention call for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Soviet forces from Afghanistan; and be it further
Resolved, That this Convention call for United Nations-supervised negotiations leading to self determination for Afghanistan through free and competitive elections and the establishment of genuinely democratic institutions; and be it further
Resolved, That the Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief expand its humanitarian relief efforts among Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
