Resolved, That the 70th General Convention of the Episcopal Church petition the President of the United States, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control to rescind the provisions of Interim Rule 42, CFR Part 34, "Medical Examination of Aliens," which temporarily reinstate HIV to the list of communicable diseases that warrant restrictions on the travel of foreigners to and within the United States, from which list it had previously been removed.
