Resolved, That this 72nd General Convention commend to the Church the Standing Commission's report, which responds to the 71st General Convention's call for a comprehensive theology, strategy, and structure for the Church's international mission work; and be it further

Resolved, That this Convention direct Executive Council to initiate development of a Partnership for Global Mission, in consultation with the Standing Commission on World Mission, the Anglican and Global Relations Office of Executive Council, and the existing mission network known as the Episcopal Council for Global Mission; and be it further

Resolved, That the purpose of this partnership will be to strengthen the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society and its work with other mission groups to increase church wide participation and cooperation in the sending and receiving of missionaries on an international basis; and be it further

Resolved, That the partnership will be accountable to Executive Council through regular reporting to and oversight by that body, and that member organizations of the partnership will:

Affirm the mission theology found in the Standing Commission's report;

Implement the mission strategies found in the Commission's report;

Comply with the Anglican Communion's Partnership in Mission (PIM) principle that mission organizations be invited by the relevant Anglican Ecclesiastical Authority before engaging in a program or sending persons to an area where an Anglican body exists;

Share information regarding missionary appointments with each other, with Bishops of home Dioceses, and with the Anglican and Global Relations Office;

Meet standards of fiduciary responsibility, including annual financial reports;

Provide cross-cultural training, including sexual misconduct prevention work;

and be it further

Resolved, That Executive Council will include in its report to the 73rd General Convention a report on the formation of the Episcopal Partnership for Global Mission.
