Resolved, That the Executive Council, meeting in Savannah, Georgia, instruct the Secretary to send our best wishes and God Speed to the Most Reverend and Right Honorable Robert A. K. Runcie as he retires as Archbishop of Canterbury and express to him our gratitude for his prophetic and pastoral ministry on behalf of all members of the Anglican Communion; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council instruct the Secretary to send our greetings to the Most Reverend George Carey as he begins his ministry as the Archbishop of Canterbury and assure him of our prayers and support.

Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church, meeting in Savannah, Georgia, January 29-February 1, 1991, send greetings to the Reverend Joan B. Campbell as she begins her new ministry as General Secretary of the National Council of Churches of Christ, and pledge to her our cooperation and support in facing the challenges of that emerging ministry; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its gratitude and appreciation to the Church Center staff for their care and attention to the preparations for our meeting, their professional skills and their fellowship.

Whereas, The Executive Council was honored by the visit of the Most Reverend Manasses Kuria and his wife Mary, and grateful for his timely remarks concerning his the Province of Kenya; therefore be it

Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church, meeting in Savannah, Georgia, January 29-February 1, 1991, extend their prayerful thanks to them for their life and faithful ministry.

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its prayers and good wishes to the Reverend Canon Robert Tharp and the Reverend Canon Victor Scantlebury, as they prepare for their respective Ordinations and Consecrations as Bishops of the Church of God.

Whereas, The Right Reverend Harry W. Shipps and the Very Reverend Robert Carter of the Diocese of Georgia have provided the Executive Council with a memorable program of the ministries of the diocese; therefore be it

Resolved, That the Executive Council, meeting in Savannah, Georgia, January 29-February 1, 1991, express its gratitude to them and the following diocesan clergy: Deacon Susan Dulany, Christ Church, Savannah; Deacon Gay Rahn, St. Thomas, Savannah; Deacon Dudley Lippitt, St. Paul's, Albany; Deacon Pamela Lightsey, St. Barnabas', Valdosta; and Deacon Stan White, Church of the King, Valdosta.

Whereas, The rector and people and staff of St. Michael and All Angels Church cordially entertained the Executive Council with lovely social hours, a low country shrimp boil, and delightful entertainment; therefore be it

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its thanks and love to Bishop Shipps and his wife Louise, Father Carter and his wife Jan, Father George Salley, Janet and Merritt Dixon for their hospitality; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its sincere appreciation to those who prepared the low country shrimp boil: Bill and Marcie Willingham; Bob White; Craig Showmaker; Jane Carter; Anne Beebe and Jo Howe; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council congratulate the clergy and people of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels on the occasion of the Centennial Celebration; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the rector and congregation of Christ Church, Savannah for the opportunity to share in the Eucharist and breakfast on the last day of our meeting in the Diocese of Georgia; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council send greetings to the Most Reverend George Brown and especially send our prayers for his safety and for the well-being of the Church in Liberia at these trying times.
