Resolved, That Executive Council receives with appreciation the comprehensive and clear Report of the Mexico Covenant Committee [MCC] dated November 19, 2002, and looks forward to receiving at its April meeting the follow-up report of the MCC, with particular reference to suggested revisions in the covenant governing financial accountability and mutual mission; and be it further Resolved, That in accordance with the report, the Treasurer of the DFMS consult with the Treasurer of the Anglican Church of Mexico about procedural revisions in fund transfers and accounting practices; and be it further Resolved, That Executive Council express its appreciation to the MCC and to the Anglican Church of Mexico for their assiduous attention to the breach in trust caused by the misappropriation of funds in the dioceses of Northern and Western Mexico and for their actions in healing that breach. |
