Whereas, We have, for the second time, participated as a Partner in the life of the Church of the Province of Kenya; therefore be it Resolved, That we accept the Preliminary Report of the Kenya Partners in Mission Consultation, and we re-affirm our continuing commitment to, concern for, and relationships with this Sister Church of the Anglican Communion; and be it further Resolved, That this Executive Council express its deep appreciation for the enfleshment of the report of this Consultation in the presentation made before us by Dr. Charles Lawrence, in which he shared with us the rich humor of Christ's love experienced by our partners amongst the friendly people of our Church in Kenya, the powerful witness of bold men and women, the overwhelming response to evangelical preaching, and for bringing the meaning of the World Mission of the Church more graphically before us in terms of our own participation in this mission and in our place in this world. |
