Resolves of the Executive Council

Resolved, That the Executive Council meeting in San Antonio, Texas, February 22-26, 2002, receive with gratitude the report of the October 2001 meeting of the Liberia Covenant Committee and give thanks for the continuing partnership between the Episcopal Church of Liberia and the Episcopal Church of the USA; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council approve the Covenant between the two churches, as revised by the Covenant Committee during its October 2001 meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution, the Committee report, and the revised Covenant be sent to the diocesan bishops of this church, the Anglican and Global Relations Office, Episcopal Relief and Development, and the Episcopal Partnership for Global Mission, as well as the Episcopal Church of Liberia, with the request that they give particular attention to the commitments outlined in the covenant; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council send its greetings and best wishes to the Bishop and all the people in the Episcopal Church of Liberia, with continued prayers for peace and stability in their beloved country.
