Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church express its distress at the findings of the General Accounting Office (GAO) which state it has found a pattern of widespread discrimination due to the implementation of employer sanctions imposed by the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA); and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church call for the United States Congress to reevaluate the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act provision for employer sanctions. |
