Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church expresses its deep appreciation to the Presiding Bishop, Edmond L. Browning, and the President of the House of Deputies, Ms. Pamela Chinnis, for taking an important step to end the isolation of Episcopalians in Cuba by making a visitation to the Episcopal Church of Cuba, March 24-28, 1996; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council urges Episcopalians and Episcopal organizations to respond to the invitation of the Diocese of Cuba to send delegations to Cuba regularly to share in the worship and ministry of their diocese; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council urges Episcopalians and Episcopal organizations to invite Episcopalians in the Diocese of Cuba to participate in gatherings that are part of the life and ministry of the Church in the United States. |
