Resolved, That the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, June 13-16, 2005, expresses its commitment to deepening the Episcopal Church’s relationships with Anglican companions around the world through dialogue, as has been urged previously by the Lambeth Conference, the Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates Meeting, the Episcopal Church House of Bishops, and this Executive Council itself; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council affirms that conversation is important about both God’s call to mission and matters that are prompting tension in the Anglican Communion, such as human sexuality; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council looks forward to particular recommendations for listening and conversation throughout the Anglican Communion that may be forthcoming from the June, 2005 meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council in Nottingham, England, and commits itself to responding promptly to such recommendations; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council encourages all members and leaders of the Episcopal Church to pursue the multiple avenues for conversation and relationship-building between congregations, dioceses and mission agencies of our church and those of other provinces; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council urges all involved in Companion Diocese Relationships to pursue with special intention conversations with their Anglican companions, especially at this time in the life of the Anglican Communion.
