Resolved, That the Executive Council accept recommendations of the Planning Committee for the Second Partners in Mission Consultation of the Episcopal Church, as follows:
- That the Consultation be held in conjunction with the February 1993 meeting of Executive Council: Friday, Feb 5, Travel Day; Saturday-Tuesday, Feb 6-9, Consultation; Tuesday-Friday, Feb 9-12, Executive Council.
- That the Consultation take place in Birmingham, as previously scheduled for the Executive Council, unless lack of adequate facilities necessitates choosing another location.
- That eighteen (18) external partners from selected churches (both within the Anglican Communion and the ecumenical community) be invited to participate; that each partner, with an accompanying Executive Council member, visit a site in one of the nine provinces (two partners in each of the provinces) during the period January 30-February 4. Sites to be visited will illustrate the breadth and depth of the Episcopal Church and have some connection with Executive Council program and priorities.
- That Executive Council meetings in 1992 include exercises designed to prepare Councilors for the PIM Consultation.
- That a projected budget of $95,832, which includes planning costs and travel and extra meeting days' expenses (but not publication of the PIM Consultation results) be adopted. The budget is to be funded as follows: $28,668 -- PIM Consultation Reserve Fund; $67,164 -- Sources including Program Budget, Constable Fund, Other sources; and be it further
Resolved, That the PIM Planning Committee report to the February meeting of Executive Council details of partner invitations, provincial and diocesan sites to be visited, budget composition and other relevant matters.
