Resolved, That the Executive Council meeting in Helena, Montana, October 20-23, 2008, commends the Directors of Mission and staff at the Episcopal Church Center for their positive response to INC039 addressing “how the concerns of dioceses of The Episcopal Church outside of the United States as well as partner churches in the Anglican Communion will be coordinated in ways that will best serve the needs of our partners in Christ around the world;” and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council applaud the Presiding Bishop’s appointment of the Rt. Rev. Herbert A. Donovan Jr. as the Presiding Bishop’s Deputy for Anglican Communion Relations as part of this response; and be it further Resolved, That funding for a full time Deputy for Anglican Communion Relations with staff be included in the budget of the next triennium. |
